To reduce the electromagnetic fields (EMF) and minimize health hazards associated with the use of laptops, the following three steps may be taken:
1) Either not to place the laptop on laps or use at least a one-foot cushion on your legs so that the EMF does not reach your legs. Placing laptop is the worst health hazard in use of laptops.
2) Remove power connection from the laptop, do not charge and use the laptop only on battery power.
3) Use an external keyboard. Even when unplugged, the internal keyboard is within the laptop's EMF.
